Foundation Communities - Health Coverage
A couple of hundred volunteers needed. Training and support provided.
Thank you for your financial support starting early in 2025 when Foundation Communities discovered they would not receive a $2.4M grant to help people with complex health and financial situations sign up for health coverage (Foundation Communities' Prosper Centers affected by DHHS funding cut.) and likewise thanks for those of you who have already volunteered (Volunteer for Foundation Communities). Since the provision of health coverage this year is an all-volunteer effort, it is time to get a couple of hundred people trained and ready for the enrollment period coming up in November and December.
As usual our friend of roughly 35 years and FC Executive Director Walter Moreau says it best.
You can sign up on-line, but there are going to be in-person and virtual kickoffs on September 10th. The kickoffs will have training details and open enrollment updates.
In-person Kickoff — September 10th, 12-1pm
The Jordan at Mueller, 2724 Philomena St, Austin, TX 78723
Virtual Kickoff — September 10th, 5:30-6:30pm on Teams
RSVP for a kickoff event or you can also volunteer here if you can’t attend either one.
It doesn’t take special expertise — just compassion and a willingness to show up. Please consider volunteering and be part of ensuring that everyone in our community has access to care.
